What is Kickboxing?

"Kickboxing is a group of stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from karate, Muay Thai, and Western boxingKickboxing is practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport."

Kickboxing was popularized by Jean-Claude Van Damme in the 1980's.

Our Program

Here at IMPACT Martial Arts Warren, we offer a cardio kickboxing class. Each class starts off with a high level warm up that increases your heart rate and warms up all your muscles. The class is then slowed down to work on the techniques. All the techniques are practiced in boxing mits and on stand up targets. We make sure that you are twisting the right way in order to generate the most power and making sure not to injure ourselves in the process. The class ends with another intense calorie burnout. The burn out is where you push yourself to its max and see how you improve the following class. Each class is different and exciting!

  • Round Kicks

  • Sparing (optional)
